Clarity Pharmaceuticals’ partner, the Idaho Accelerator Center at Idaho State University, was awarded the Early Stage Innovation of the Year at the 2017 Idaho Innovation Awards. This achievement was for the development of a new and efficient process for producing copper-67. This process enables copper-67 to be manufactured in sufficient quantities and at a high quality to allow for clinical development and getting radiopharmaceutical products to market.
This is an exciting development for Clarity in progressing the copper-64/copper-67 theranostic paradigm, as this technology may provide global capacity for therapeutic copper, addressing the major issue in the radiopharmaceutical industry, being isotope supply.
